Gates Wesleyan Church Staff

Rev. Joseph Liddick, Sr. Pastor

            Rev. Liddick has been at Gates Wesleyan since 2006. He grew up in the Rochester area and is a graduate of Houghton College, Wheaton Graduate School, and Asbury Seminary. He served several years with Rochester Youth for Christ before eventually beginning ministry as a pastor in Appleton, NY, Sturgis, MI, and Wheaton, IL. He and his wife Esther have three children, all in the ministry or preparing for it. His hobbies are music, cycling, swimming, and hunting.

Alex Ashe, Pastor of Student Ministries

            Alex began ministry at Gates in 2007, having worked previously for a mission agency called EduVenture. He and his wife Becki are graduates of Houghton College. Alex had been a volunteer youth leader at both Fillmore Wesleyan in NY and Quest Community Church in Tucson, AZ before coming to Gates. Alex’ hobbies include music, marathon racing, whitewater kayaking, backpacking, and international travel.

Tim Lambert, Worship Leader

            Tim has been leading worship at Gates since 2005. He is a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College with a degree in Music Education. He is currently teaching music in the Greece school district. He and his wife Shelly have one son, Jack and a Labradoodle named Maggie.

Sandy Beardsley, Office Manager

            Sandy is a mother of two young boys, and a big boy (her husband Doug). She has been a part of the church for 20 years, but has been a part of the staff since 2007. She has her degree in elementary education from Houghton College. Her hobbies include collecting key chains and Winnie the Pooh memorabilia, and she hopes to someday write the great American novel.
